Dire Strait
This is a short project where we developed a game inspired by the classic 1986 NES game, The Legend of Zelda. This was a development oriented project made on Unity. The protagonist in the game is a young boy who is on a mission to collect a magical orb to cure his ill mother. He faces resistance from orcs and the king's army who have been tasked with protecting the orb at all costs.

My Role
Since this was a 2 person project, there were no specific roles and both of us worked equally on all aspects of the game. The main outcomes and learning from this project were:
Programming - The main task in this assignment was to execute a clean build in a short period of time including core gameplay, enemies AI programming, powerups and a save system.
Asset Sourcing - We learnt and researched a lot on free assets online. Learning about licenses and finding cool new sources. This was because out timeframe was one week for a fairly larger sized game and we did not have the time to produce our own assets.
Quick planning - Since we had limited time to complete the game, we had to manage all our tasks. Plan what tasks we would skip, what tasks we will spend more time on and the main goals in the 1 week.
